Job offer – Programs and Activities Project Manager (Young Canada Works Program)

Would you like to help raise awareness of Montreal’s heritage? Héritage Montréal is looking for a Project Manager to help us design and present our activities. As part of a small, dynamic team, you will support the implementation of educational activities (mainly guided tours). You will be responsible for the logistical aspects of the events, ensuring that they run smoothly. You will act as the organization’s representative in the field. On occasion, you may contribute to design or research. On occasion, you’ll be able to contribute to the design or research, as well as to the organization’s special 50th anniversary programming.

The internship period is 35 weeks, starting Monday, April 7th, at a rate of 35 hours per week. The work schedule will be variable and flexible, and will require evening and weekend availability for the presentation of activities. The candidate must be eligible for the Young Canada Works internship program, i.e. be a recent graduate (two years or less) and under 30 years of age.

Task description

• Handle tour logistics for customers and the volunteer team
• Manage online registrations and answer participants’ questions
• Assist with guide practices and follow up as needed
• Coordinate the volunteer team (guides and greeters, 30-50 people)
• Help promote and disseminate programming and virtual content
• Collaborate in the preparation and implementation of educational activities
• Participate in the research and design of guided tours and virtual content
• Take photos for communications and archives
• Coordinate surveys and compile data
• Collect and classify documentary archives on tours
• Participate in drafting project reports and formulate recommendations

Profil recherché

• Graduate or recent graduate in any of the following fields of study:
  Conservation of built heritage, urban planning, architecture, history or art history, cultural action or any other relevant field.
• Excellent organizational skills, rigor and attention to detail
• Sense of collaboration and teamwork
• Interpersonal skills, dynamism and commitment to quality customer service
• Proficiency in the Office suite
• Fluency in French, proficiency in English

Candidates must be eligible for the Young Canada Works internship program, be under 30 years of age at the time of starting employment and have a recent diploma.
Salary: $20.00/hour
