Volunteer guides needed

Guided tours Architectours®, 2025 edition

Do you want to share your passion for Montreal and learn more about its architecture and history? Would you like to contribute to heritage awareness and promotion? Join Héritage Montréal’s team of volunteer guides! We are currently recruiting volunteer guides for our next edition of ArchitecTours® guided tours.


Required qualities

  • Students, graduates or individuals with excellent knowledge in one of the following fields Architecture, urban planning, conservation of built heritage, art history, history or other related field
  • Interest in Montreal’s heritage, architecture, urban planning and/or history
  • Excellent speaking skills, ability to stimulate the curiosity of visitors
  • Interest in research, ability to synthesize and personalize a visit scenario.

Tasks description

  • Mandatory attendance at 4 training sessions in May 2025. (Most of the training sessions will be held in French)
  • From a basic scenario, complete the research of information and consolidate into a complete visit scenario (on average 30 hours of preparation)
  • Be available in July and August for tour preparation (additional research, group practice)
  • Conduct English or French tours (three to four tours in the season, between August 2 and October 5, 2025)

  • Gain experience in a recognized heritage organization

By joining our movement, you are contributing to this essential mission, which for half a century has been shaping the future of the city’s architectural, historical, natural and cultural heritage.
