The Heritage and Development committee is composed of volunteers who are experts in land use planning, architecture, urban planning and heritage. It meets every month to discuss major heritage issues in the metropolitan region and to reflect on strategies and solutions to ensure the preservation of this heritage. The COPA thus contributes largely to the positioning of the Direction des politiques, also participating in the drafting of letters, opinions, comments or briefs.
The Activities and services committee is composed of volunteers who are experts in the fields of architecture and heritage conservation. It implements the educational component of Héritage Montréal's mission in order to raise public awareness of the value of Montreal's heritage. The committee's mandate is to define the annual program (orientation and themes), to develop new public programs and to contribute to the design of certain activities and publications.
The Next Generation Committee of Héritage Montréal, created in 2016, aims to bring heritage to life in new ways. The Committee's mission is to develop new approaches to awareness, communication, and exchange with the next generation interested in Montreal’s built heritage. The CORE seeks to multiply opportunities for collaboration and facilitate the sharing of experiences and diverse paths. Comprising about ten volunteer members, the Next Generation Committee organizes events that explore Montreal's heritage from a fun, innovative, and engaged perspective.
