Our Family workshop is back…just in time for the 2017 edition of Les journées de la culture!

Heritage Montreal invites families to make some fascinating discoveries by exploring the heart of Pointe-Saint-Charles! In the company of our animators, the entire family will learn how to observe the city in a fun and original way. This urban exploration activity is the perfect introduction to the architecture and heritage of Montreal. It is specifically designed for children aged 6 to 10.

Explore.Learn.Enjoy.

What families originally lived in the neighbourhood and where did they come from? Why is there a canal in Montreal? Why are some of the houses built so far from the street? The city is a vast playground that is constantly changing and reinventing itself. Through fun and creative activities that awaken all five senses, young explorers will discover the neighbourhood’s streets, alleys, and buildings.

Practical information and registration

The Family Workshops are for children aged 6 to 10 accompanied by an adult. This activity is free, is 90 minutes long and will take place, rain or shine. The visit starts at the corner of Charlevoix and Saint-Patrick streets (by the canal), a few minutes walk from Charlevoix metro.
