Call for Service Offer

Would you like to help raise awareness about Montreal’s heritage among young people? Héritage Montréal is looking for a facilitator to join us in presenting a series of engaging activities designed to help elementary students better understand urban history and the heritage found near their school. Working closely with the program coordinator, you will be responsible for updating program content and co-facilitating activities both in the classroom and outdoors.

Posting: from July 31, 2025 at 12:00 am to August 21, 2025 at 5:00 pm

Start date: September 15, 2025

End date: November 14, 2025

Compensation: Competitive hourly rate, comparable to that of school substitute teachers.


Job description

  • Co-facilitate the activity program delivered both in the classroom and outdoors.
  • Work closely with the project team and the participating teachers.
  • Update activities, tools, and all relevant documents to support teachers during the activities.

Required profile

  • Experience in facilitation and relevant outreach with young audiences.
  • Student, graduate, or soon-to-be graduate of a qualifying bachelor’s or master’s program in elementary education, pedagogy, social studies education, or a related field.
  • Interest in pedagogical approaches related to outdoor education.
  • Knowledge of the Québec Education Program in social studies at the elementary level is an asset.
  • Interest in Montreal’s history, architecture, and heritage.

French language proficiency is required for this position.
