Heritage and Development committee (COPA)
The Heritage and Development Committee is made up of volunteer experts in land-use planning, architecture, urban planning and heritage conservation. It meets regularly to discuss major heritage issues across the metropolitan region and to develop strategies and potential solutions to help safeguard this heritage. COPA plays an important role in shaping the Policy Department’s positions and contributes to the drafting of letters, opinions, comments and briefs.
Activities and services committee (COSA)
The Activities and Services Committee is made up of volunteer experts in architecture and heritage conservation. It carries out the educational component of Héritage Montréal’s mission by raising public awareness of the importance of preserving and promoting Montréal’s heritage. The committee is responsible for defining the annual program, including its direction and themes, developing new public programs, and contributing to the design of certain activities and publications.
Next Generation Committee (CORE)
Héritage Montréal’s Next Generation Committee (CORE), created in 2016, aims to bring heritage to life in new ways. Its mission is to develop new approaches to awareness, communication, and exchange with emerging generations interested in Montreal’s built heritage.
