Throughout the year, Héritage Montréal offers a variety of activities that give Montrealers a unique opportunity to see the city in a new light, to broaden their horizons, and to contribute to the discussions that shape its future. Through guided tours, roundtable discussions, and meetings, Héritage Montréal brings together citizens, experts, and decision-makers to discuss the city’s heritage.
ArchitecTours® is a series of guided tours that invites Montrealers to discover their city through its architecture and urban transformations. Each two-hour walking tour focuses on specific sites, buildings, architectural ensembles or neighbourhoods, exploring their origins and evolution through to the present day.
The tours highlight the connections between architectural forms, functions and their broader contexts, as well as recent interventions. They also explore key urban issues, including densification, adaptive reuse and urban redevelopment.
Led by trained volunteer guides and tour assistants, the tours offer well-researched, accessible insights to help participants better understand the places and neighbourhoods that shape their everyday lives.
