From 5:00 p.m. to 5:30 p.m., join us for an exclusive conversation (in French) with Denise Caron, historian, and Jean-François Leclerc, historian and museologist. Together, they’ll trace the park’s origins, its evolution over time, and debunk some common misconceptions about it! Continue the conversation at the Héritage Montréal booth. Our speakers will be there until 7:00 p.m.

This is a wonderful opportunity to learn more about this iconic Montreal landmark before enjoying a memorable evening of music with the Orchestre métropolitain.

Event 1 - Symphonic Picnic

This year, the Symphonic Picnic will precede the main concert, with audiences invited to arrive as early as 5 p.m. to fully enjoy the site and its installations, including a food offering thanks to the presence of food trucks. A lively program will unfold on a second stage located on the north side of the Sir George-Étienne Cartier Monument, featuring musical performances, participatory activities and artistic discoveries for audiences of all kinds.

Event 2 - OM at the foot of Mount Royal

A beloved summer tradition for thousands of Montrealers, the Orchestre Métropolitain’s large-scale free concert in the shadow of the city’s iconic mountain will this year be part of the celebrations marking the 150th anniversary of Mount Royal Park. Presented as part of CAM Touring Program, the concert will be hosted by ambassador Fabiola Nyrva Aladin and conducted by Yannick Nézet-Séguin.
